RICK THE TOOLMAN

I purchased a BendPak lift and it arrived on a Thursday and I planned to install it with my buddies on that Saturday. At one point in the install, we got stuck (we THOUGHT we knew what to do, but it was a critical part which we wanted to make sure we got right). I tried calling BendPak and of course their office is closed. I called ASE Deals where I purchased the lift, and they could give me no advice, but they did offer to give me an installers name that might be able to help. Called the installer and he didn't answer my call, nor has he ever returned my call after I left a voicemail. So here I am, middle of an install with friends who traveled a good distance to be here to help on a Saturday morning, completely stuck. I am a member on Garage Journal forum and I checked to see if anyone had any contacts.... that's where I saw several people mention Rick the Toolman. I tried calling him and he promptly picked up. I explained my situation and apologized to him for the inconvenience, but he told me no worries, he would be glad to answer my question. He gave us the exact answer we needed and then explained if we had any other questions, feel free to give him another call. After hanging up, he actually called me back and gave us a few pro tips to avoid issues that he's encountered in the past. Between 9:30 am and 9:30 pm, I called him 3 times to ask a few questions and he always was kind and gave me great answers. The last call was the toughest... and late at night, however, it was literally the very latest step of the install. He asked that I send him a few pictures and he would get right back with me. A few minutes later, I had the exact information I needed to complete the job. I thanked him for his help and offered to pay for helping me, but he politely declined and said he was happy to help. I wish Rick lived closer to me, I'd buy him some beers and definitely utilize his services on future jobs!

we had two lifts bought and delevered from rick the tool man him and his guys were there on time when they said they would be there, and installed both lifts with minimal disturbance to the shop/customers/ or employees we since went back a purchased a tire balancer from rick and John (his employee) sat there till we were able to run the machine for ourselfs Thank you rick you have our business in the future
