Do not ever take cab #409A rude driver. I had an unpleasant encounter with this driver from DC airport. Ugh no wonder Uber is taking over

On Halloween there was a terrible wait for cabs so we called White Top having never used them before. We opened the door to make sure we were ready and we saw the cab drive one way down the dead-end street we were on. A member of our party stood out on the front porch and waved to him as he came back down the street in the other direction. He sped up as he passed the house and drove by. Our phone rang and a member of our group accidentally hung up on the unknown caller in the attempt to answer the phone - we assumed it was the cab and called it back immediately to tell him to turn around because he just passed us. It went to voicemail a few times but we kept calling back. Then the phone was answered and hung up several times. We called the main company's number who put us on hold twice for almost 15 minutes refusing to give us any information about the cab that had driven past. We finally hung up instead of continuing to wait and called back Yellowtop to get a reliable cab. Then someone called us back and asked if we still needed a cab. We said yes, that we had waited, saw the cab drive by and would like for him to turn around and pick us up. The caller told us that cab was now on another call and he had no cabs to send to us (why did he call us and ask if we needed a cab then?) then complained when we told him we had already called another cab company because the absurd escapade was costing us too much time. The complete lack of customer service and condescension from both the main telephone operator and the person who called us back are inexcusable. Their conduct was both unprofessional and petty. I recommend calling Yellowtop instead of these people.

an elderly friend was taken on a scenic route, not direct, and expected to pay twice the amount because the cabbie didn't know where to go even tho she gave him address and it was about 8 blocks away. She paid him 1/2 fare and got out of cab, he got out of cab grabbed and pushed and yelled at her, took her purse, good samaritans intervened and got her purse back. He agreed he did it, but because he did not "intend" to rob or assault her, only get her attention and his money, nothing can legally be done. DO NOT USE THIS CAB COMPANY!
