JMP's Landscaping & Construction

Before I hired Matt, I looked online for any information I could find on his business. Unfortunately, I could find no reviews, but did find that he had recently opened this business within the last year. After meeting him and with his reassurance that his customer comes first, I went ahead and hired him. He was pushy about a contract being signed which I had no problem with. A job that was discussed to take 2 weeks turned into 2 months. At the 2 month marker, the project was still not quite halfway finished. (This was a framing and drywall project for a very small area.) At this point, Matt relayed that he would not finish the project and I needed to find someone else. I ended up losing $500 of work I had paid him for prior to finishing and receiving a final payment. It is highly likely that he was simply in over his head and could not finish the project, however he had no problem taking a payment before intentionally leaving the job.
