Chinese Qigong Tui-Na

I have been coming here since 2009 and always enjoyed their service of an hour long massage ($48). I have never had an issue with the couple who runs the store in the mall until the last two visits which I was robbed an hour and 10 minutes of massage time.



I found an old gift certificate from 2010 which I wanted to redeem; anyone who knows the place knows that each gift certificate is labeled "good for one year". When I went in I asked if they could still honor it and the lady, who was the only one there at the time, [to make a long story short] said no because her store policy which is stated on her gift certificates are only good for one year. I did my research before I went in so I knew that Massachusetts State Law says gift cards/certificates are liable to be redeemed for up to 7 years. I tried explaining this to her by pulling up the law on my smart phone and she still angrily refused to honor it.

I walked over to mall services and explained my case, they got on the phone with someone who worked in the offices within the mall and informed me someone will be over there in a moment and to head back. The lady who came over from the offices had printed out the statement about how State Law gift cards/certificates can be redeemed up to 7 years and explained they had to honor it. The Lady still argued that it was only good for one year which is store policy etc. etc. and argued with the lady from the offices for a good five minutes. She finally said I'll give you 20 free minutes (to get us I would imagine out of her hair) and I stupidly accepted just to not deal with them anymore that day.

I still had 1 more hour long gift card (that I received this past year at Christmas) so I decided to use it the next day so then I could not deal with them anymore period. I went in and with no issues they started to give me a massage, a gentleman came in 20 or so minutes later and the lady giving me the massage said she will be with him in 10 minutes. It did not click until that 10 minutes was up that she stopped and said it was done. I informed her I had a hour long massage and she went back to her yesterday mood and said no, pulled out the gift card (which was scribbled on now) and said "no, only 30 minutes". I had enough of them so I just left.



So back to the review, like I first stated I had always enjoyed coming in a few times a year for the service of an hour long massage, never had any issues with either one who works there until this last issue which is why I give them 2 stars out of 5. I would highly recommend supporting your local massage therapist before coming here.
