Building Blocks Preschool

The teachers in the infant rooms really take a special interest in the babies.

This is a fantastic school. We had our son there from infant until Kindergarten. They are a big part of why our son is now overachieving in school. This isn't just "daycare". It is more like pre-school, with educational opportunities around every corner. Our son wasn't just taught, but he was challenged in his learning, diagnosed with Autism when he was not yet three. When he was going here, he was also at the Early Learning Center, and taking the bus (yes, there is bus service to Building Blocks). He went from being behind his peers, to a normal track classroom, to now devouring the curriculum. That would never have occurred without the efforts of the teachers here. This isn't just an occasional thing, this is every day.

Our child really enjoys attending pre-school here and we like the fact that there is a curriculum for the children. We have had no problems here at the school.

It gives us peace of mind knowing that our children are well cared for in a safe and consistent environment.

From the front desk to the kitchen to the classrooms, the staff create an environment that promotes trust, fun and learning.

We have witnessed first-hand how the nursery works all the way through graduation. From the large indoor gym and outdoor play area, they always have a safe place to play.

When we found out we were expecting for the 3rd time, there was no question with where we would place the baby...every day we get to talk with and see both the director and the owner. We cannot tell you how wonderful it makes you feel to know how much they are involved.

The staff at Building Blocks South has always provided strong communication with us. Due to his high functioning cerebral palsy, his teachers have always been very receptive to the accommodations and information that he brings with him and they have strived to help him be the bets he can be.

I just recently enrolled my son in Building Blocks on Chatham Rd, he is 4.5, to prepare him for kindergarten. So far I am very pleased. My son loves to go there and he has actually been learning things and is excited about it. I couldnt have asked for a better teacher and teachers aide. I have witnessed his teacher working with the kids individually and as a group. They are so friendly and make me feel completely comfortable with them.

The thing that makes me happiest is their meal plans. Im fairly strict about what my son eats. I like him to have a healthy, balanced meal and he gets that here.

But as I said, he hasnt been attending long so only time will tell.

I LOVE Building Blocks! I have worked in daycare for most of my adult life. I know the good and the bad and the ugly about daycare. I am critical, but I understand how difficult this job can be. I have been thrilled. The daycare is VERY clean. It has so many great toys and play areas- more then any other daycare in town. There are playgrounds for the different ages AND indoor gyms. They do lots of activities; they are constantly doing exciting art projects and learning different languages, computer skills and reading. They focus on math and music and imagination. I love the teachers and the staff. I do LOVE my children and I am more then thrilled with this child care center.

I am very pleased with this daycare. It is very clean and bright. The people are so friendly and kind- I truly feel they love my baby. I am very pleased and would recommend this daycare to anyone.

The Building blocks ON Chatham rd is awesome! My grandson went there several yrs and the staff and director were so involved and caring. On the other hand, my grandaughter who was 2 at the time, went to Building blocks south, and it was horrible. No staff supervision, many accidents, and the director would never even follow up on complaints or problems. Often saw staff texting while children were left on their own. Plus no windows so you could even see in the room to observe. When we would ask about our childs "accidents" staff couldn't tell us what happened. My grandaughter was bitten by another child over abd over and no effort was made to monitor that child . If you want quality childcare, go west. I blame the non involved director for not caring enough about the children to get involved.

My husband and I are thoroughly pleased with Building Blocks. Our two children attend and we are happy with both of their rooms and all of the staff that they interact with on a daily basis. It is so nice to know that we have a safe, loving place for our children to be while we are at work.

My son has been at this day care for neary a year, and we have had very few problems. The staff seem to really care about the children and their well being. I especially like the precautions that the staff take to make sure that no one picks my child up without my permission.

This is the best daycare i have ever used. My daughter has become more social and now knows sign language at the age of 2!
