Park Operations department is governed by the City of Spokane in Washington. It is responsible for the maintenance of park land and facilities, including Riverfront Park, Manito Park and Gaiser Conservatory. The division is operated by Spokane Parks and Recreation Department, which is involved in the management of more than 4,100 acres of conservation land and developed parks. Spokane Parks and Recreation Department manages a golf division that maintains and operates championship municipal golf courses. It administers the Urban Forestry Program. The department has a recreation division that conducts classes, special events, athletic leagues and activities for youth, teens, adults and seniors citizens with physical and mental disabilities. It also provides support for community and senior centers and outdoor swimming pools.
