My father stayed at this facility for several weeks. The staff are amazing; the nurses, cna’s, (especially his night CNA who was always happy to bring him ice cream!) and both the PT and OT staff were constantly assisting him and encouraging him to get stronger and stronger. The kitchen staff was great, and they worked hard to accommodate his special dietary needs. He received help with dressing, medications, bathing (she is awesome!) and other activities-all from a professional and caring staff.

I came to ManorCare after suffering from severe septic shock. The outlook was grim prior to my admission onto ManorCare’s Medbridge unit. I had been in the hospital for almost a month, spending ten days in the ICU and 20 more days on the medical floor. I was so sick I couldn’t even tolerate sitting in a wheelchair for the 10 minute ride from the hospital and had to be transported to ManorCare in a stretcher. Being bed-bound for that length of time really took a toll on my body.

Looking back, I can’t believe the progress I’ve made. My therapists literally brought me back. When I arrived, I couldn’t use my hands to pick up or hold objects. Now my grip is stronger than the average person my age!

The nursing staff was amazing, too. They bent over backwards to make sure we were comfortable. The NACs and nurses were there when we needed them and responded quickly when we called.

The aids and nurses are wonderful. But the administration staff are not honest people. They have made my Mother's life a living hell until the courts were involved.

My father received amazing care from the staff at ManorCare. They treated him with such respect during his stay, which was very important because he was a real "man's man" before his stroke. He had a hard time accepting help but the therapist really worked on his level. We're happy to have him back home and can't thank them enough for their support of his recovery.
