Kitchen Remodeling
Clean, simple lines define the clinic’s contemporary design aesthetic. The white and gray color palette creates a fresh, soothing, visually appealing ambiance. Elements include white quartz counters, gray cabinetry, and white ledgestone on the front of the reception desk. Wood accents, doors and soffits above the reception desk add warmth.
Fireplaces
The lobby features a fireplace, comfortable seating, and a tech bar, creating an inviting environment. The vaulted, exposed wood ceiling and large storefront windows infuse the space with natural daylight.

Demolition
Bernardo Wills made a strong commitment from the start of the project to respect and reuse the existing structure while transforming the space into a contemporary office building and meeting space. The design allowed over 90% of the existing warehouse building – walls, floors, and roof – to be maintained and reused. The majority of the demolition and construction waste was sent to local building material recyclers. The total amount of diverted waste exceeded 95%. The building received LEED Gold Certification from the U.S. Green Building Council for the Core & Shell and the Commercial Interiors.

Landscaping and Fencing

Landscaping
Bernardo Wills also supplied comprehensive landscape design services for this project. The design celebrates water while reminding us of our role in the conservation of the resource. Entry gardens flaunt water-conserving plant varieties in a xeriscape display. A dry creek bed extends from the building entry to the garden’s focal point, a small water feature nestled in front of the garden’s outdoor seating space.The design for Whitworth Water District’s new building addressed myriad goals, including housing both administrative and operational functions in a single facility, accommodating the utility’s anticipated growth, and locating the structure central to the district’s growing customer base and service areas. The facility houses 12,000 square feet of operations/shop space, 6,000 square feet of administrative space and a 5,000-square-foot storage building.

Window Installation/Replacement
Siding
The main entry was enlarged to incorporate a vaulted, exposed truss that allows for signage and lighting to better identify the entrance. Warmer regional materials – including exposed wood siding – update the exterior. The exterior entry area was expanded to integrate a large colored concrete patio with boulders for sitting areas, creating an inviting entrance and a space where the credit union can host community events. The site berming was reduced and exterior lighting, signage, and landscape were updated to improve visibility surrounding the structure.

Masonry
The entry is clearly identified by a vaulted exposed truss that also allows for signage and lighting. The exterior pallet comprises warm regional materials, including masonry veneer, wood-grained siding, and a vaulted ceiling with exposed glue-laminated timber beams.
