My experience with The Mattress Capitol could not have been better. I originally chose to purchase my mattress and box springs from the store because out of the three I visited, it was the only one with a knowledgeable sales person who did not follow me around like I was going to steal something - I HATE being constantly talked to and followed while shopping.



My bed was scheduled to be delivered yesterday afternoon, and when 5pm came and went I called customer service to see if I was still scheduled for a delivery. The man who answered the phone confirmed that I was still scheduled for an evening delivery, but told me that deliveries were running behind due to a few hold ups and asked if I would like to be moved to the next morning so the time would be more convenient. I explained that my bedroom furniture had already been moved in preparation for the delivery by my husband who would not be home, and that since I am pregnant I cannot move it back myself - so, I would like to keep the evening delivery.



About an hour later I got a call back. Apparently the man I had spoken with was the owner of the company, and he told me that after I told him I was pregnant he decided that he wanted to UPGRADE my bed to a much nicer pillow top. The bed got here soon afterwards and is beautiful and very, very comfortable. The delivery men were very quick and efficient, and they apologized again for the late delivery.



Unfortunately, it is very common to run into poor customer service these days. My experience with The Mattress Capitol was a marked difference from the norm. Not only were their sales staff, customer service, and delivery service knowledgeable and polite, and not only is the bed I received exemplary, the owner of the company went above and beyond "good customer service" and gave me the best baby gift ever. What he doesn't know is that we are co-sleepers and that our two year old is still often in our bed and that her new brother will be, too. In addition, we are planning a home birth and it is likely that our new baby will be born in that bed. Thank you!!

Looking for a mattress can be a daunting task...after shopping all over 3 counties, I came upon the Mattress Capital. Unlike the various other stores I visited, Shea, the Sales Associate in Wilmington was friendly, polite, and always smiling. Never did we feel pressured or "bull dozed" into making a decision on such a large purchase (our set was over $1800.00) Even after taking up over an hour of her time and waffling back and forth between 3 different beds, she gave clear, concise answers to the myriad of questions I had on comfort, quality, warranty, body indentations and even gave us peace of mind with a "90 day comfort trial" that allowed us (though we didn't end up needing to use it) to exchange our original purchase for ANY OTHER BED THEY SELL within 90 days to ensure we were 100% elated with the mattress set we chose. Delivery was prompt, quick and free! Considering all I know now about purchasing mattresses, I can't imagine going anywhere else. I have since sent 2 neighbors and my niece about to start college into the Mattress Capital and whether spending $200 or $2000....they really listen to your needs and try to find the best sleep system to fit your needs. Simply couldn't be happier with our new King set or the people who sold it to us.
