New England Eye Care

I just read the second review for New England Eye care and it upset me that such a low rating was written about New England Eye Care and Dr. Motto. Dr. Motto is one of the most conscientious Dr. I see. He is always on time and is very cordial & professional. As is the entire office personnel. They will go the distance to be sure you receive the best care!

Staff was great very friendly and helpful, My husband and I both ended up ordering our glasses from there. The price, selection and service was great !! Very happy would go again in the future.

When I visited New England Eye Care I was attended to by Dr. Motto. When I told him I was seeing an Ophthalmologist and did not need to have all of the tests they planned on giving me he gave me a blank stare. I refused the peripheral vision test because my Ophthalmologist had a history of my visual field tests. Dr. Motto indicated to me that he was going to dilate my pupils so he could "examine" my eyes. Once the dilation had taken place pictures were taken of my eyes which again my Ophthalmologist does regularly and has a photo history. I told him again I was not happy with this. His response was "now he had pictures of my optic nerve." I could have had copies forwarded if he was that keen but no, he had to take pictures that were not necessary. So my assessment of Dr. Motto is that he DOESN'T LISTEN. Now, the process of taking pictures of someone's eyes that is not already seeing an Ophthalmologist can be a good thing as it creates a history for comparison and can demonstrate changes in the optic nerve over time which can be helpful. Again this is great if someone is not currently seeing an Ophthalmologist.
