Owner(s): Morgan Management LLC, Pittsford NY; aka Easton MHC, LLC.
Residents [mobile/mfd home owners] have seen their homes depreciate up to 70% since 2003.

USLegal.com defines Slumlord as: "A slumlord is an unscrupulous landlord who milks a property without concern for tenants, neighborhoods or their own long term interests. Slumlords overcharge for property in poor neighborhoods that is kept in poor repair and allowed to deteriorate. Some indicators of property run by a slumlord include number of police calls, and city and county code violations on the properties."

Easton Mobile Home Park was placed under Rent Control in December 2013. On Dec. 6, 2010 the Massachusetts DEP issued an ACO with Penalty against the owners of the Community. Then on Feb. 7, 2014 another ACOP was issued. On Oct. 14, 2014 the Easton Rent Control Board (ERCB) issued and "Order for Abatement of Sub-standard Conditions" against the owners; citing imminent need for repairs to 1) WWTF & septic collection system; 2) [lack of] storm drainage system; 3) Abandoned homes; 4) impassable roadways and 5) water delivery system.

In true slumlord style, the owners continually avoid spending any money on repairs to the infrastructure of the Community and have failed to complete ANY of those five (5) orders for repair.

It is my belief that when they purchased the Community in 2003, their intent was to re-purpose the land. Or at least the commercially zoned section of the 35 acres; which would represent nearly half of the homes in the Community.

Sadly, it’s fate is quite uncertain at the time of this writing. Fortunately, the Mass General Laws have some safeguards from residents being 'literally put out on the street'. And the Town of Easton legislators & ERCB are doing their best to advance a favorable solution for the residents of the Community.

Overall

Many I know had Morgan Management.....one place in Middleboro, Ma.(Hillcrest). They tried to raise the rent when there was violations everywhere, some the same as you people have. Get ahold of the Board of Health in your town and file a complaint. They will come out and look at what is going on and make them fix it. That is part of their regular maintenance and they can't raise your rent if you are under rent control........................................selectmans office could tell you that. The selectman have to approve any increases. If you call your Attorney Generals Office in Boston, they will send out a book regarding what a management company can and cannot do.

i am so sad to live here....i ...

i am so sad to live here....i will be losing my home (someday) I know there is a problem but no one seems to care to speak out against Morgan mgmt of Pittsford NY. They are drivng my neighbors out onto the streets Their website looks like a toothpaste commercial. In reality they are slum lords Potholes are the norm water main breaks are every other day. They are jacking up the rents by adding on extra charges for items that were included in the rent previously This is because they want to make more money of the disabled, elderly, others
