General Info: Jefferson Intermediate Center provides academic programs to students in grades five through eight. It is a part of South Bend Community School Corporation and is located in South Bend, Ind. The school teaches a variety of subjects, such as science, reading, computer science, math, language arts, social studies, industrial technology, and health and physical education. In addition, it offers classes in choir, orchestra, music, art, Spanish, and career and technical education. Jefferson Intermediate Center has a staff of more than 50 full-time certified teachers and paraprofessionals that includes a custodian, Spanish instructor, speech pathologist, school nurse, social worker, art and music professional, child psychologist, guidance counselor, and health and physical education instructor.
