Anthony Capalino Salon

Never again :( Anthony cut my hair SO short and I have curly hair....place was kind of sad and dirty and can fit no more than two people in at once. Top three worst haircuts.

I happened upon Anthony Capalino Salon, located in an office building (next to Planet Fitness, Assembly Sq.) by chance. I saw a woman with curly hair like mine in a supermarket, she had a nice haircut; I complemented her hair and asked her who cut her hair…. Anthony Capalino, in Somerville. I made an appointment to have my curls cut by Anthony. The salon's location was easy to find with a huge, free, parking lot. Anthony greeted me when I walked in. The salon has a very relaxed atmosphere, which I liked. Anthony was very attentive. He sat me in a chair and took a good look at my hair. He asked me what I wanted. Then he made some suggestions about the cut he thought I needed to get my curls into shape. It had been a while since I had a really good haircut. I also wanted to get partial highlights done, but Anthony doesn’t do highlights. I was wavering about whether to get the highlights because I have very dark brown hair and I’m afraid of getting harsh brash highlights. But I decided to go for it when Anthony offered to give me 20% off my service today as a first time customer. A young woman named Ashley did my highlights. Ashley was very personable and she did an awesome, awesome job on my highlights. The highlights she gave me, soft caramel shades, blended naturally with my dark brown curls. I was so pleased with my highlights. Then came my haircut. Anthony took his time cutting my hair. I could tell by the way he was cutting my hair that he takes pride in his profession. I cannot stop looking at my hair since leaving Anthony Capalino’s Salon this afternoon…Anthony and Ashley hit a home run my first time in.
