Peace N Joy Academy Montessori School

This is the worst place to send your kids. There is no structure to anything be it the curriculum, discipline, fees....nothing. Kids are left on their on accord. The director is totally confused and is only concerned only money. Teachers keep changing every now and then. I changed the school and can see the difference in learning, teaching methodologies, discipline. I regret the time my kid has spent in this school.

I don’t know where to begin. I can just say this, I had to take my kid off this school to another school. It is a separate issue when the Director of the school show their frustration to the parents, but when they show it directly to the kids, it goes without saying - this is the worst place to send your kids to. After we told them we were sending our kid to another school, their response to our kid changed drastically - right from not giving her pizza on pizza day to non-flexibility around switching of days she gets into school (by the way, this was always the case). As a parent you can see the frustration from the Director if you are few minutes late to pick your kid. In addition, you can see major communication gaps like not letting a parent know in advance about the cost and timing of events. You will also face an issue, where you may be asked to accompany your kid to single day camps / picnic and they get upset when you say no (Basically they had the mother's of kids look after 2 to 3 more kids, so they don't have to pay for additional teachers). We always faced a major communication issue with what the teacher's told us and what the Director of the school told us which caused a lot of confusion. Dont get me wrong, the teachers are kind and good toward the kids, but when the Director of this academy does not have the passion or the love towards kids, then you are never sure how you kid is taken care of. I always felt the Director is more focused on earning than teaching and taking care of the kids (just my opinion). Also, they are Montessori, but their infrastructure is small and I am not fully sure how effective they are implementing the Montessori teach methodology - I am not going to say this is bad, as I have not really assessed them from this perspective, but you can cross check about this before getting your kid here. I am no longer convinced about sending my kid here. We have switched our kid to another school and now we are able to see what we actually missed.

This is our daughter's first time away from home. She has never been at a daycare or preschool before, so understandably my husband and I were very anxious. But when I first took her to Peace N Joy Academy our anxiety instantly turned into happiness and relaxed. The atmosphere is fantastic and the teachers are the ones who really brighten up this place. My daughter loves it here and seeing that accelerated incline in her development and speech makes our hearts full. Thank you Peace N Joy for taking so much care into what you love!

Peace n joy was a wonderful experience for my two girls. My older one started with the toddler programs now she is in pre-K, the younger one started 3months ago..... Both loves this place n teachers.... All the teachers are very good, very supportive, caring & attentive. I always felt my little ones are in the safe hands.....

"When I think of Peace and Joy academy only one word comes to my mind and that is HOME. The teachers at Peace and Joy do a tremendous job of making us (not only the kids but the parents as well) a part of the family. They give one to one attention and the kids really learn a lot. My daughter during the short course of a few weeks became so disciplined and independent and the art, craft and reading that was done on a daily basis really stimulated her mind to think out of the box. The Montessori approach actually did wonders to my little one and it was amazing feeling to hear her talk and discuss how much fun she had at school each day. We had to move to CT due to personal reasons but I would highly recommend this place. Thank you Peace and Joy for being so amazing and keep up the good work which make a difference in people's lives.
