A friend and I were in your town on our way back to GA after transporting some animals to be adopted in Ohio.We were notified by phone about your shelter having a Mother and nine puppies .We stopped at the shelter and was told the Mother Beagle mix was very mean and they had been trying to catch her for a month but couldn't get her until she had the puppies.I ask to see her and puppies.She was laying in the kennel with her babies nursing.I told the lady that I would like to take her and all of the puppies and she daid I could not take her until Monday.We ask if it was a state or county law.All we were told was that they had to hold them for five days to see if the owner wanted to claim them.Now I ask you if they had been chasing her for a month do you really think the owner was going to show up to get her and nine puppies?We were om our way home to GA and could not wait around til Monday.Then I found out that they uthinised her and her nine puppies on Monday.Now I ask the city of Somerset are you proud of your Animal shelter that are there to catch and kill?
