Chiropractic Adjustments
A chiropractic adjustment is the art of using a specific force in a precise direction, applied to a joint that is fixated, "locked up", or not moving properly. This adds motion to the joint, helping the bones return to a more normal position and motion. The purpose of this safe and natural procedure is improved spinal function, improved nervous system function, ease any pain, and improved health.
Nutritional Consultation
Dr. Clasquin has advanced training in extremity adjusting and whole food nutritional therapy. He spends quality time with the patient one on one. This approach allows him to focus on you and your overall health so that you and your family receive the best possible care. He adjusts mainly by hand (Diversified technique) and occasionally by instrument (Activator technique) along with muscle/trigger point therapy before the adjustment. We make sure you are comfortable and understand the procedure and the goal of the treatment and take the time to answer any questions you may have.
Stretching
Upon injury, the individual often alters the normal position or flexibility of the spinal vertebrae. Chiropractic treatment is designed to restore normal alignment and thus minimize pain and suffering. Gentile manipulative therapy or “adjustment” is often effective in rapidly returning the injured person to a productive status. The doctor of chiropractic can also provide guidance with advice designed to reduce work-related injuries, proper lifting procedures and therapeutic stretching exercises.
Subluxation
Chiropractic is based on the specific fact that your body is a self-regulating, self-healing organism. These important functions are controlled by the brain, spinal cord, and all the nerves of the body. The skull protects the delicate tissues of the brain. The moving bones of the spine protects the vulnerable communication pathways of the spinal cord and nerve roots. If the nervous system is impaired, it can cause malfunction of the tissues and organs throughout the body. Doctors call this the Vertebral Subluxation Complex. Vertebral meaning the bones of the spine. Subluxation means less than a total dislocation. And Complex means that it consists of more than one part.
