Darren Of All Trades

If I could give zero stars, I would! Darren is the worst contractor I have ever come into contact with. I could deal with him not showing up all the time and finishing things late, because a lot of contractors do that...what I can't deal with was the fact that he has no idea what he's doing. Just recently I tried selling my house that he had completed after we bought it short sale. Based on buyers, brokers, and inspectors, we had to put in thousands upon thousands of dollars to fix Darren's many, many mistakes. Darren screwed up our floors, cabinets, outside pavers, paint, plumbing, heating/air, and much more. What is especially disconcerting is that our stairs and railing, which Darren installed, were proved to be so wrong that they were unsafe. I have two children, and I was told that at any moment, one of them could have popped out one of the spindles on the railing and fallen to their death. We had to completely rip out the stairs and railing and start from scratch. On top of his gross incompetence, Darren lies about everything! He would try to convince us that things that were clearly done wrong, were done correctly. His subcontractors were just as bad. One of them put our furnace in upside down! Btw, Darren won't be able to read this because he's illiterate! We ended up firing Darren before he finished because he made everything worse and not better. Please do not put yourself through this!
