Ness Tax & Bookkeeping Service

I had my 2015 taxes completed at Ness Tax. They committed an error in my return causing me to receive a letter from the IRS stating I owed another $1,050. I initially went in to discuss with Ness. They offered no remedy for their error. After I complained, they escalated to the owner, Tim Ness. He offered me, only the interest charged by the IRS and repayment only the form where the error was committee - not the return of all prep fees. According to the policy he quoted in the letter he sent, I should have received a "reimbursement to cover the cost over and above the tax that was rightfully due at the time of the filing." I received nothing close to that. In fact, I only wanted my tax preparation fees returned - as my return completed an error and I did not want to pay for a service that entailed a large error. Tim Ness did nothing.

They've been in Sioux Falls for a long time, always do a good job. Same people working there year after year.
