I've been coming to the location for almost two decades. I come here because they have the lowest gas prices on this side of Simi Valley. Customer service has always been five stars until today. I was extremely disappointed that I had to witness the owner or manager verbally cursing out a customer over a scratch off lottery ticket. She was asking the guy behind the counter about the ticket. The lady was making a dispute without raising her voice about why she didn't win. Something about the barcode. She wanted to use the small amount of money to buy a drink from what I saw. But because she wasn't wearing a mask, he refused to settle the matter but rather raised his voice and berated her. He told her several times using the F word while also calling her a bitch. He said he doesn't want to get infected. She tried to be nice, told him she'll never come back and would call the police or file a complaint. The gas guy kept on cursing at her. She walked out, got into her car, drove up to the window, honked at him for several seconds while he gave her the middle finger, and she drove off.

I've worked in retail for over twenty years, and that's not how you talk to customers or guests. You settle the dispute professionally. If the lady doesn't leave, you call the police. Also, he could've explained to her when she was asking why she didn't win that there was a phone number on the back where she could've called and asked questions. By cursing her out in front of others and acting unprofessional, your business reputation can be hurt. You never ever curse, swear, get mad or threaten people like he did to the lady. Even if he's the manager or owner, he never should've behaved like that. Because of the Covid 19 outbreak, people are paranoid of others or afraid of talking close or touching. He went off on her all because of a scratch off lottery ticket.

I wasn't wearing a mask, and he didn't go off on me. There was another man who partially witnessed the argument. I'll change my review back to a five star if I get an apology on why he behaved so unprofessionally to the lady as well as to me.
