Extremely Disappointing Experience !!

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS STORE, NO MATTER WHAT...

I bought a leather sofa from them. The manager by the name of David ask me to look at the sofa and make sure that it is what I want. He explained that it is a "Floor" model and that is was discounted as such.

True that there were some slight imperfections due to it being on the showroom floor for a while, but seemed fine overall. I decided to buy it.

Once home and after a few days or maybe a week or so, I noticed that there was a tear in the leather, right in the sitting area and that it was patched up, stained and colored almost perfectly, . So, it was almost impossible to notice at first.

I went back to the store and complained to David. I basically said (in nice way) that it was dishonest to trick and cover up a tear on a leather sofa just so that they can get rid of it. I noticed that he was evasive about his knowledge of the tear and patch. I was almost certain that he knew about it ..

David said to call him back at a later date as he needs to present the case to higher ups. Finally, a certain Christine (owner or general manager) called me back and made the determination that nothing can be done and that the sofa was sold "As is" and basically that I am stuck with it....

I couldn't believe it..

Never again from this store.

NEVER EVER buy any furniture from this place and repent later! Forced to give a star as that is mandatory. Read my experience below to understand.



I stay in Simi Valley, actually 1.5 miles away from this store. I and my wife went into this store and met with the store guy (David) to get a set of Dining (one table and 6 chairs).



When we did not like anything on the floor, the manager (I think the owner) Christine - showed us the catalog there which had a lot of pictures/selections to choose from. We picked one but we were not sure about the color in the picture and Christine showed us a furniture in the store that closely matches the picture. Christine was all nice and said she was also at Simi and all looked great!



We were told the delivery will happen but we need to give them the check to confirm. We gave them the check ($800) the next day. When the furniture came after couple weeks it was no where close to the color Christine had showed us and we had no choice but to ask them to take it back to the store.



Instead of apologizing or understanding our pain, Chrisine told us that she cannot help it and that the receipt had the return policy and she will only return the amount minus the re-stocking fees (which is 30%, $240 to be precise).



I was amazed and surprised the way she behaved - and now am moving to consumer court as the item that came was no where close to what they showed us, so there is no reason why we have to pay $240 just for nothing.



Please Please Please go to a good store like Ashley, Living Spaces or even the Urban Home close by which are all good (we have got furniture from all these places and all worked just well). Do not go to these private places, you never know what you get.



I am a genuine person who has been totally hurt by the way this store manager/owner Christine behaved to us.
