Central Kitsap Urgent Care

This is one of the worst medical facilities I have been a patient with. The staff here have a don't care attitude, which doesn't fly in this line of work dealing with people everyday, especially with medical care and attention. I had requested some medical documents for military medical. Since those were paid for out of my own pocket and not the military, I own those records. I have gotten copies before, but my was file lost so now I have to restart this process. When talking with the nurse I was transferred to in order to request my file, she said I am not authorized to access my own file because the test was requested by the military. When I tried to ask her some questions, she purposely hung up the phone. This is unacceptable behavior and down right disrespectful. I called back and was informed she was with a patient and busy. If your staff is that busy in which I can't ask a few questions over the phone then maybe they need to quit or have better communication skills for the job.

We drove up to this office at 6:45, and were happy to see the "open" sign out on the road. However, we were told to take our ill infant to elsewhere, because while they were open, they would not see patients after 6:30. Why on earth can't they set their office hours to end at 6:30 so it's clear that is when service ends? Or, set the last appointment at 7 and staff the office until 7:30 so the services line up with the published hours? We wouldn't have wasted time driving our extremely ill infant to this office if we'd known that while it was "open" it was effectively closed. (There were no other patients waiting, it was not busy, the office folks just wanted to head home). IMO, terrible service, and we will definitely head to the Doctors Clinic Urgent Care in Bremerton in the future.

My first and only experience here was a joke.

When I got there there was no one in the waiting room and still it took over an hour from start to finish of my visit and most of that was spent waiting both in and out of the exam room.

The staff were only friendly to the point as to avoid being socially rude, but nothing more.

Also the doctor was a quack. I told him I have had chronic problems with two things my whole life and that they were back and he insisted that they were something else entirely.

Scared the hell out of me when he came in asking me how long I'd had a certain highly contagious and antibiotic resistant illness THAT I'VE NEVER HAD AND NEVER SAID I HAD then told me later that it didn't look like I had that at all. I mean, no crud Sherlock.

He didn't listen, but barreled ahead with his own assumptions. His bedside manner in general sucked. AND HE DIDN'T USE GLOVES!

I would NOT recommend Central Kitsap Urgent Care for anyone. If you can, travel up to North Kitsap Urgent Care. They're fantastic.
