Is a fellowship trained Child and Adolescent psychiatrist And Board Certified Psychiatrist(MD) providing care for illnesses such as complicated ADHD, anxiety disorders, autistic spectrum disorders, and mood disorders from 0 to 18 years of age, or older if enrolled in college or graduate school. He has published several academic articles and has obtained training in autism treatment and diagnosis. Dr. Saran also serves as medical director of the child unit at Brentwood Hospital in Shreveport where he admits and treats inpatients. Dr. Saran is from the Jersey area but has called Shreveport his home for many years.

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
A. No, we don’t test (neuropsych testing), but we do evaluate, diagnose, and prescribe medications. Medical Doctors are able to do evaluation and diagnose ADHD without formal neuropsych testing.

Psychiatry
Is board certified in General Psychiatry. She has special interests in women issues including depression, anxiety, and eating disorders; as well as, mood disorders during pregnancy and postpartum. She also accepts male patients on a limited basis. She is very active in the community and presents regularly at meetings to help educate others. Dr. Singh also holds a clinical assistant professor appointment at LSUHSC-Shreveport. Dr. Singh is from Monroe, LA and called it her home, until moving to Shreveport for residency in 2002.
