La Casita

This is great authentic Mexican food. The family recipes used are also used in several other family restaurants around the state. The Gollo burro and the regular burro enchilada style are awesome. Always busy because it is great!

Meaning "the food is bad", this seems even a compliment. Having eaten here several times, I am convinced the reason the USA has an oil shortage is that it is all in the food here. I have never experienced so much grease on one plate as here. It literally pooled on our plates. I did an experiment with a beef taco wherein I simply squeezed it to see how much grease I could get out of it. Almost three TABLESPOONS from one regular taco. Refried beans suffered from too much lard yet rice was dry and crusty. Salsas and sauces were watery and not very spicy or flavorful. Service was attentive and food arrived in a timely manner. I can't explain why they are always so crowded....haha.
