Chili's Grill & Bar

Chili's is a pretty good restaurant, and my husband and I love to eat there... but we went out to dinner last week and our server seemed to be straight out of the kitchen. I mean it - literally. I think someone called off work or got fired and they didn't have enough servers to handle the business, so they went into the kitchen and said, "Hey! You! You're not working the kitchen duty right now, we need you up front!"



This guy, POOR GUY! He wasn't wearing the Chili's wait staff uniform, and it seemed like he was wearing the same outfit as the bus boy we saw pass by. He was frazzled (he didn't look 'new' either)... he took a long time to take orders, everything was screwed up and at all the tables he worked, people were confused and kept having to have him send things back. He seemed to be in the WRONG PLACE at the WRONG TIME.



Poor guy! He probably got thin tips all night and stress up to his eyeballs. With all the people out there who need jobs... Chili's probably could have found SOMEONE to cover the lost server who had some actual serving experience instead of fishing someone out of the kitchen or making the janitor serve tables! Yikes!



So if you're not the most patient person in the world, make sure you're seated with someone who is actually wearing a Chili's shirt and looks like they know what they're doing, because poor kitchen-guy can't really keep up - and no wonder - it's not really his job to begin with!
