Dr. Vaidyanath L. Iyer, MD

I have been seeing Dr. Iyer for about 3 1/2 years now, he is by far the best psychiatrist that I have seen. I continue to see him because of the way that he approaches me / my situation. I don't see myself as a flawed person. I see myself as a normal person with a biological defect, and he treats me just that way. In so may Dr.'s offices, the Dr.'s and staff treat you like you're less than a person, and you leave feeling humiliated and guilty about your condition. Many Dr.'s, as treatment, will try to tell you that there is something inherently wrong in the way that you see the world, and if you only try hard enough, you can change yourself. I don't buy that crap. I have a real biological disorder, and need a real biological solution. Dr. Iyer not only gives that, but also treats me like a real, normal, equal person, not an illness, and that's why I continue to see him. I would recommend him 100%.
