My name is Ray G and I recently transferred my care to PRIMED in Shelton Ct. My experience with the office overall has been very good. That being said, I went in for an acute visit today as I had been feeling ill for a few days. I usually see Dr Doan but today had the pleasure of seeing his PA Coleen. My issue today was with the receptionist that has a blunt shoulder length hairstyle blond hair, blue eyes (wish I had caught her name). I had requested a note to cover me at work on my sick days out. I stood at her window for approximately 10 minutes, without the courtesy of any acknowledgement from her. When she finally asked my name and I went on to explain what I needed she reacted (not responded) by snarling at me that check out was "over there", indicating the area I had just left on the other side of the door. She was dismissive, rude and appeared to have an issue with my request! I happen to work in a facility that has some expectation of accountability with staff being out when sick. Not sure if her nasty attitude is the norm or if she was just having a bad day. If I had not had an earlier positive experience ,I would not have considered staying with your practice for my care. I would suggest that this individual be given an orientation to include how not to be rude to the patient that pays her salary because without me, there is no you. I was livid and if I had not been feeling so bad I would have requested to speak to her direct supervisor about her rancid behavior. If she doesn't know how to be user friendly, you might be best served by putting her in an area where she is not required to be civil, or have manners or for that matter have any patient interaction. Look forward to not having to deal with her for future visits. I would rate your office as a 4 star, but rate her as MAYBE 1 star. A true disservice to an otherwise lovely office.
