Sharpsville Area Elementary School is a public school that provides academic education to students in kindergarten through grade five. The school enrolls more than 550 students and is a part of the Sharpsville Area School District. The school s curriculum includes English, math, language arts, science and social studies. It also offers special courses for the development of writing, reading and communication skills. The school provides physical and special education, and support services for students suffering from sexual and substance abuse, drug, alcohol and tobacco addictions. Additionally, the school organizes various extracurricular activities, such as arts, dance, drama, birthday celebrations and excursions. It also offers parent-teacher organization and organizes parent-teacher conferences. Sharpsville Area Elementary School has a library that provides a large collection of curriculum books, encyclopedias, dictionaries, newspapers, journals, and access to the Internet. The school has a cafeteria and offers the Pennsylvania School Assessment Program that emphasizes on reading and math skills.
