Boland's Cafe

I was kind of happy that there would be a new place in town to check out, but I have to say there is absolutely nothing to draw me to this place on any account, the beer selection & atmosphere are horrible. The room is far too big for live music because they've done no type of sound absorption, so it just bounces off the walls. The time I was in there when the live music stopped, the jukebox was put on at such a loud level that it just sounded distorted & horrible; hurt my ears. It doesn't have a nice feel at all, just seems like you're sitting in an oversized cafeteria(without any food), drinking bad beer because it is one of the worst beer selections I've ever seen(huge bar with only 3 taps & bad beer on tap to boot). So many other places close by with a lot more to offer, including music, great beer & great food.

Boland's in Seymour is a new place. It has a lot going for it. Great neighborhood, new building, lots of space, super-friendly staff, nice bar and great live music! Plus, the crowd seems to be catching on and is growing week by week... nice M/F balance too. What's not to like? With such a great start they are definitely going to have a great future. I'm going back!
