We purchased our pool here, and purchased a replacement liner years after we purchased the pool. When we got the liner replaced we were surprised that our light was replaced and we never said we wanted a new light. We ended up having to pay for the new light and just swallowed that unecessary expense because they disposed of our old light with the old liner telling us it didn't work anymore. The light was working fine when we last closed our pool though. At the end of that season after the new liner and new light when we closed our pool we noticed that the new light was foggy inside and the screws were rusted. We took the light to Del Val and the girl behind the counter said she would replace it with a new one. We kept the new light in the box until this season. We installed it about a week ago when we opened our pool and in only 1 week that brand new light snapped in half and we saw the light at the bottom of our pool with bare wires hanging into our pool. We had to drain the pool and take the light back for a replacement. Brian the owner would not help us but stated we could buy a new light at a discount or buy a return valve and have no light and contact the manufacturer ourselves. We did not want to put any more money out for a new light because we never wanted this new light in the first place. And we didn't have our old light because they took our old light and disposed of it when they installed the new liner. We contacted the manufacturer and they told us it is Del Val's responsibility to honor the warranty and send it back to the distributor and replace the defective light. We called Brian back and informed him of that and he said he wasn't going to help us because my husband left a negative review online. I have to agree with the other reviews on here about Brian stating about how he is nice as can be when you are giving him money, but buyer beware if you have a problem. He will not help and will just try to get more money out of you and act like he's doing you a favor. He is very condescending and not professional at all. I am surprised at how he reacted to getting a negative review buy calling my husband names. He has a legal right to honor the warranty and not let his hot headed temper get in the way of him being an honest business man. I would not recommend you doing business here. God forbid you ever run into a problem or have to have them honor their obligation as a business. Very shady, unprofessional and rude. Funny, we never had a problem with Sam when he was there. We were told that Sam is not there this year. I can only wonder if Brian had something to do with Sam not being there. Brian seems impossible to deal with on a business level. Take your business to an honest respectful dealer that honors you as a customer and a human being!!!!

Overall

Don't ever expect a phone call back or any help with problems once they have your money. I dealt with Deptford. They left my yard a mess and after dozens of calls it never got fixed and couldn't get them on the phone. Would never recommend them. Pool is nice but like I said we had issues and they ignored my dad and I.
