PowerMax Transmission

My car broke down while on vacation in the smokies and i had it towed in to Powermax. They gave me a loaner to drive while we waited on our car to get repaired. I am so grateful for this. This was my 1st vacation in over 3 years and they saved my vacation. Thank you very much!

drove 36 miles to have these geniuses fix an oil leak. wife followed me home for 8 miles, called me on cell & told me the car was smoking really bad. Turned around took it back only to be told to "get the **** out of my garage". This place is a JOKE and definitely a RIP OFF!

My vehicle broke down on me on a sat night while I was vacationing in Gatlinburge. Power Max was recommended to repair my vehicle. They replaced the part and charged me over $600 dollars. After I left my vehicle was still running bad so I turned around and went back and they did something under the hood and said it was fixed. Three weeks later my vehicle broke down again and my local repair shop told me what was wrong. The part they put on had gone bad, so I had to have it replaced again. Power Max wouldn't warranty the part, they told me to call the parts supplier I purchased it from, and stated they didn't have any warranty on their labor. I had to pay to have another new part put on my car, and the shop that put it on did it for 2/3rds less than Power Max. My local repair shop was able to get the part warrantied but I still had to pay a wrecker bill and have the part put on. I feel like they took advantage of me b/c i was out of town and knew they could get away with it. I wouldn't recommend them to repair a tricycle and I am contacting the Better Business Bureau about them as well.
