Cove Mountain Realty

I had to post this in several sections due to reaching the character limit of the post. Please, please read the whole thing, these people are horrible and people need to know this. My husband and I along with another couple we are friends stayed at "Run to the Hills" from October 22, 2016 to October 26, 2016. We had many of the same minor and also very serious complaints that other people have left on this review site. When we arrived and began to put our things away we noticed little things that were wrong that one would not expect in a cabin that costs 200 dollars a night. As we began to put our things away we noticed the little things. In the kitchen we found that the vent cover over the microwave was duct taped on and if you opened and shut the microwave it fell off. There were very minimal amounts of kitchen ware and utensils to cook with. There was only one medium sized pot and two small skillets to cook with, that was literally it. All of the serving utensils were flimsy and cheap, the can opener was broken, and worst of all the water tasted like a mix between rotten eggs and blood. I am aware that there may be a difference in the water due to being in the mountains, we live in the country in the Midwest and know that country water is always a little off. However, this water was not fit to drink, it was disgusting. We had to buy tons of bottled water while we were staying there. Now on to one major problem. The first time we went to cook, which was a few days after we arrived, as soon as I started the stove and began to cook ROACHES came running out of the stove. There were large ones and little ones. The roaches were all over the counters, the stove, and were even trying to crawl onto the food. It was disgusting. We immediately took all of the food we had put away in the cabinets and put all of it in the refrigerator. Also I had brought my Keurig with me and had to move it out of the kitchen and put it in the downstairs bedroom.

These are the worst of the worst, purchased a piece of property and had sale complete when all of a sudden they had additional offers, they claimed the offers existed and it was legal. Ended up having to increase offer, when I closed I found the old owners signed before this increased occurred. Now in the process of getting a lawyer. They will do anything to take more of your money, beware.
