Valley Tavern

We recently visited The Valley Tavern on a Saturday evening and were greeted very nicely. The waitress was friendly and helpful. My husband and I both ordered soup, mine French onion and his cream of crab. My French onion soup looked great, but the broth was weak. They brought out a bowl for my husband even though he ordered a cup (he took it anyway). My crabcake sandwich was pretty good and he ordered fish, which was pretty good also. The platters are, I think, a little on the high side. Like I said, the waitress was very helpful with anything we needed. Overall, the food was average. If we go back maybe we should try the broasted chicken.
