Low Income Housing Institute, founded in 1991, is a private nonprofit housing organization offering services, such as acquisition, ownership, renovation and ongoing operations of housing for low and very low-income individuals and families. The organization offers various residential services, including intensive case management, resource coordination, life skills workshop, financial literacy and asset building workshops and technology-based education. It offers various youth programs that include after school tutoring, summer activity day program, children s art and poetry classes, anti-bullying workshops and youth leadership programs. Low Income Housing Institute owns and operates a wide range of residential properties, such as Columbia Court, Cedar Heights, Cate Apartments and Broadway House.
