Malty

Fruit & Spice
Unique flavors from warmer ale fermentations are the hallmark of this category. Sometimes these beers have added fruit and spices, but the German Hefeweizen or Belgian yeast may impart flavors such as apples, bananas, cherries and oranges, and can be combined with spices of pepper, cloves and coriander. Food Pairings: You can't really go wrong pairing a dish with a fruit or spiced beer, as the aromas and flavors from the ale yeast are going to do a lot of the heavy lifting. Hoppy
