Perry Taxidermy

Took my white tail deer trophy to Fred, after he had told me on phone how guys dont want to wait up to a year, like with other taxidermists. This was my first buck taken in Louisiana after 6 unsuccesful years. Said he could have it done in 6 months, maybe even as little as 5. I shouldve followed my instinct. Upon arrival, his first question to me is "So, are you guys MD's?" I had just finished driving straight thru from Louisiana, had been awake about 30hrs straight and thought I had misssed something said, when my wife was saying she is a nurse. Fred began to tell us about the clinical status of him, his wife, his family, friends, coworkers, etc... I had to repeatedly redirect him back to the topic at hand, Taxidermy. It just got way worse from there. He said he'll be in touch with me in about a month, when the hide comes back from tanning, to discuss pose. One month, 2 months, I called 3 months later, to be told "Ohh, the tannery went down, I should be in touch with you in 2 weeks or less". 5 weeks later, I had my wife call him and more lies and deceit followed with of course, updates on medical clinical status of his wife. This is a very unprofessional man, I will never hire his services again. We still dont have our hide and head back yet, despite his claiming they will be ready for pickup several weeks ago. He has been in possession of my trophy for 5 and a half months now and still has not contacted us at any time to discuss pose as he originally stated would be in about one month. Not one single call from him to update us on status. I would have given this dishonest, probably dimented elderly, seemingly gentleman a lower rating, if less than one star was possible.
