The only reason I even gave HD Pools 1 star is because the guys that came to the house were very nice, otherwise it would’ve been one. Called HD pools on June 22 to come and look at our liner on our above ground pool. Was told that the liner was old, but the copings needed replacement and the liner would last the season but definitely would need replacement next season. (No surprise there as I knew it was old). I asked explicitly if the liner would last the season because I didn’t want to wait for a new liner with the hottest week of the year in the forecast, but didn’t want to repair a liner that wasn’t going to last the summer. Was told yes it would. $350 later, I walk out THE NEXT MORNING to find the liner totally torn away from the rim of the pool. Order a new liner and was given an installation date of 7/6 at 9 am. 9 o’clock...10...11...4pm no show...finally a text that we “are definitely on the schedule” for the day. Saturday 7/7 no show, Sunday 7/8 no show... finally Monday, 7/9 the liner (which I ordered express delivery to ensure it would be here on time) is installed. (At an addition cost of $400) Now, it’s 7/16 - find out the caps on posts were not screwed in - I’ve found one lying in my yard and one floating in my pool. Do not use HD pools if time, money, and workmanship are a priority. Let me make this clear - I’m not blaming them for the condition of the old liner, but an “expert” should have know that the liner wasn’t going to last another 24 hours before collecting $350 from their customer.
