El Torito

Drove here from San Joaquin County and had a terrible experience. Broken glass everywhere from theft in the parking lot. No camera's. Then want to enjoy Monday night football game with family and enjoy promotional items. I am immediately told by a manager that while promotions are in the bar no one under 21 can enter. Was very rude and said if we wanted to eat we had to go in the dining room. My poor son was so disappointed. I've been in the restaurant business for 16+ years (a manager for 5) and never would have treated paying customers this way. We ate in the dining room paided way too much and didn't enjoy ourselves like we should have. Will never be back. It is a shame too because this place brings back memories for my husband and I. I wouldn't recommend coming here if you have children who like sports.

So when my Sorority Sister suggested El Torrito’s I was like “Meh.”



El Torrito’s, Chevy’s, Applebees…they are all the same type of chain restaurant to me.



I am not going to pretend that this was not your typical chain restaurant experience, but it did have its perks!!



First of all the Drinks were Amazing, their $3 Happy Hour Margarita is nice and strong and tasty-I had two!!…get it on the rocks!!…I ordered mine blended at first and I thought that I was drinking a pile of rock salt…when they brought back the margarita on the rocks it was heaven in a glass.



I had a quesadilla and on a scale of 1-10 it was a nice 7!!…and it went quite well with the Salsa!! I would have that again!



The cherry on top however was the Fried Ice Cream!! While a whopping 1300 calories(estimated), it was decadent and I could not finish the whole dessert because it was so sweet! Yum Factor here was a 12!!!



The service in the Bar was awesome, the service at our table was mediocre at best >>I am being kind.



But the atmosphere was so enjoyable that we sat at our table for hours without being harassed or asked to leave.



Overall I this would not be a regular restaurant of choice because the food is “just okay.”



But if I want to have a well priced happy hour with my girls and grab a bite, this is just the place!!
