In 1996, the company introduced the industry s first single-chip personal computer-to-television encoder, and it is a leading provider of TV-Out semiconductor solutions for personal computing platforms. In fact, the company has shipped more than 22.3 million TV-Out products. Chrontel s products are designed to complement leading graphics processing technology and companies, such as Intel, NVIDIA, Silicon Integrated Systems and Via Technologies. In addition, its products have been included in notebook and desktop computers from original equipment manufacturers, such as Acer, Compaq, Dell, Fujitsu, Hewlett-Packard, NEC, Sony and Toshiba. Founded in 1986, Chrontel employs more than 100 people at its headquarters in San Jose, Calif.
