About ArWest Communications Research and Development Group ( now known as ArWest Communications Corporation ) was formed in 2001 to design narrow-band radios utilizing DSP technology. The founders of the company and the development team have more than 185 years combined experience in the Design, Manufacture and Marketing of Telecommunications products. Within the ArWest Engineering Group are four PhDs in Physics and Applied Mathematics helping us push our technology beyond previously commercially available products. We are the first narrow-band radio company to implement DSP technology which was developed specifically for the Cell-Phone market. With this implementation we are able to utilize many other technologies such as High Level Modulation Techniques, Digital Filtering, Zero IF, Direct Communication to the Internet ( TCP/IP ), Radio Management via the Internet ( SNMP ), and Advanced Error Correction Coding. What this provides for the user is a very flexible platform enabling ArWest to use only one' board for our radio-modem the only differentiator within our products is the RF Filter which defines the frequency range. This technology provides for a much more robust radio-modem with greater range and reliability than managed previously. There is also no requirement for periodic calibrations necessary for older radio-modems. The ArWest product line ( AlphaWave ) is designed to meet the varied conditions of SCADA ( System Control And Data Acquisition ) users in such h1erse markets as Public Safety, Utilities, Oil & Gas, Asset Management, Water, GNSS, Environmental Monitoring, Agriculture, Transportation and Military.
