Izzy's San Fransisco

Great steaks. Best broccoli ever, carrots too! Caught the owner at the door took his suggestion and he was right.

Found this by chance, did a search on my phone for steak houses near me.



The food was amazing, the service was great.



The next time we are in San Francisco we are definitely eating here again.

Customer service was a nightmare. If I owned this restaurant, I would be extremely disappointed in my staff. We had a party of 14. We were seated in a timely manner, but the hostess came and took one of our chairs and placed it at an empty table. When we told her we needed the chair she just took, she explained that they had another party they needed that chair for. So instead of giving us the chair for the person who she just "seated", she pulled it away and placed it at the empty table. So we all had to squeeze in. For 20 minutes after being seated we were only provided with 2 menus for our party of 14. It may have been just an off night for them, but one of their waiters spilled a whole tray full of water one of our guests. Her clothes was still wet when we got home. Two of our guests didn't receive the drinks they ordered. Our waiter only checked in on us once. So the whole second half of the night everyones water glasses were empty. We figured that because we were such a large group, the gratuity was automatically added to the total, so the waiter didn't pay too much attention to our table.

If you like your filet Mignon cooked medium, than don't order it here. It was so disappointing that I even asked the waiter if what I got was actually filet Mignon. It tasted more like tri-tip and the cut was exactly that of a tri-tip. Who knows. I can only go by what they tell me it is at this point.

Sorry all you big name steakhouses in SF, but your melancholy meat can not hold a candle to the ultimate beef wrangler- Izzy. Perfectly located with other tasty restarants, Izzy serves up the classics. The ceasar is great, all the apps will leave you satisfied. The waiters know what you want, just have the fillet Izzy's way- then concentrate on the 2 important items in front of you, the wine and your date.
