Tilted Kilt

A fun place to stop in before heading to a Padres game! A good beverage selection, food and service.

Awesome location right outside of Petco. Get there earrrrly on game days. Staff is of course great and there are plenty of TVs to watch any games on.

We had been looking for a restaurant to eat at after a long day of Comic Con, so we decided to head for the Tilted Kilt. When we arrived we were told that the wait would not be long and there were only 2 parties in front of us. After four other parties were seated they finally took us to our table. It took 20 mins before someone came to take our order and within this time it got chilly outside. When another employee walked by we asked if she could turn on the heater right next to us and she said "let me get someone who can" and disappeared for an hour. Our own waitress had also not shown for an hour and when someone came back outside we flagged them down. We asked if they could turn on the heater and they gave a similar response as the last waitress. Another 30 mins went by before our waitress came back and that's when we asked for the manager. She became worried and asked why, when we explained the heater and the food she left and returned within a second with someone to turn the heater on. Our food came out soon after that, but my dinner was slightly cold. If you are walking down San Diego and see the Tilted Kilt, my advice is to walk right on by.
