Daru Salam Braids

First of all I only went to her because my braider Necole ( check her out on Facebook, Braids by Necole), said that she didn't know how to tree braid, but hopefully I can be her practice head one day, and she braids securely without braiding tight or pulling out your edges. Moving on, I would give Awa "0" stars if i could, first of all i think she over charged me for tree braids in the beehive pattern that I drew for her, then she didn't even make the braids the size that I told her I wanted, and I have a feeling that she was trying to take the remainder of my hair (weave) that was not used (but i took that and put it with my extra hair i bought inside my bag). I also told her repeatedly that I didn't want my hair braided too tight and she did not listen, she tried to tell me that I was tender headed and that is not the case (you don't have to have your hair braided tight, that's how people lose edges). She also seemed irritated when I told her my request, last but not least she gave me business cards to give out but because i was not happy with the service (even though the style looks nice) i will not be helping her get business, if she can't treat her customers right then she don't need to be in business, and her business cards will be going into my shredder. if there is anyone out there that can do tiny cornrow (beehive style) tree braids then please email me at gods07gift@yahoo.com

Waste of $180. The owner didn't braid my hair tight enough and as a result within ONE WEEK the braids on the sides and in the back were slipping out!! I Will NEVER do BUSINESS with her again. My hair is natural, soft, and curly but not thick. If my texture is difficult to braid for you then why not say that instead of being greedy. She re did the twists for free, but they are coming out as soon as I get back home!! I am soo mad, next time Someone does my hair I'm praying to GOD that they do a flawless job!

I have only gotten the Senegalese twists done here and each time, I was a happy customer. Quality work and reasonable prices; can't ask for much more. I would definitely recommend trying this place out! !

This is simple but professional salon. The owner Awa is always on time, professional and always works with the client to get the style she wants. There are other braiders in the shop who are also professional and great at what they do.



I have used Awa on many occasions and I am always pleased with her work; the prices are reasonable and she is really fast when doing micros’. This shop does it all, so if you are looking for a great style, Give this one a try...You will come out feeling and looking great...

The owner, Awa is a great braider; she works miracles on the shortest of hair...Unbelievable! And she does all...including Micro braids - individuals in about 5-6 hours. Really, she does it all.
