“I was referred to the Damiani Law Group by a top criminal defense attorney in southern California when he could no longer represent me due to a conflict of interest. I had been charged with two felonies by the District Attorney, was named in a civil suit by the San Diego City Attorney and was a witness in a related federal case. There were already at least a dozen boxes of discovery when the first attorney released me, so I was not happy about starting over with someone new who had to start from the beginning on complex cases that were moving ahead quickly. As it turned out, I had nothing to worry about. Lisa Damiani was up to speed in no time and throughout the cases was able to recall facts better than I could. The bottom line was that she prevailed in every issue that I faced, but the unexpected surprise was how easy Lisa was to work with. I had experienced hiring a top attorney for another issue and after paying the retainer was referred to a secretary and hardly ever talked to him again. I have been billed for the time it took to mail a monthly statement to me. I filed a complaint with the Bar Association on an attorney who did not return phone calls. My opinion of attorneys in general was not that high. Very capable assistants were used in limited aspects of my criminal case, but all of their work was reviewed and personally followed up on by Lisa. When I came into the office for status updates my meetings were with Lisa. When I left a message or sent an email I would get a response the same day unless she was in court all day.
