Your physical therapy program begins with a thorough evaluation, analyzing posture, movement, strength, balance, coordination, flexibility and joint mobility. Treatments are always individualized and include education on improving and preventing your condition, including a home exercise program. After several years of being a full-time Mom, she renewed her career in the field of Women's Health and Pediatric/Teen bowel and bladder dysfunction. Jill is passionate about helping women, children, and teens learn to take control of their bodies and make the changes necessary to regain control of their lives.

She also served on the executive board of her cohort’s student association with the goal of emphasizing diversity and inclusion in the classroom, workspace, and patient care. Pelvic Pain Whether you are post partum, post hysterectomy or just living with chronic pain, options are available and your needs will be addressed. Some women complain of a “headache in the pelvis”, others describe sharp, burning pain with intercourse or everyday activities. Either way, the pain usually disrupts relationships and lifestyles. You will undergo an extensive evaluation to determine the source of your pain and design your treatment plan. Treatment techniques include: myofascial and trigger point release, visceral manipulation, education in dietary habits, stress management and modalities as needed.

Victoria is a native San Diegan and first found her passion for physical therapy while growing up as a ballet dancer. She received her Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology with a focus in Exercise Science and a Minor in Dance at California State University, Long Beach. As an undergraduate student, she won the Health, Nutrition, and Clinical Sciences division of CSULB's Student Research Competition in 2019 for research that is now published in the International Journal of Exercise Science. Throughout her Doctorate of Physical Therapy training, she completed clinical rotations in settings of pelvic health, oncology, orthopedics, and geriatrics. During her time at UCSF and SFSU, she served as a Campus Advisory Resources and Education (CARE) Ambassador where she acted as a liaison between survivors of interpersonal violence and the resources available to them. Victoria completed continuing education courses in Pelvic Floor Disorders for Men and Women, Athletes, Trauma-Informed Care, Yoga Therapeutics in Rehabilitation, and attended conferences on LGBTQIA+ health. Victoria is deeply passionate about utilizing compassion, education, and empowerment in a mind-body approach to healing. She is committed to bridging the newest research with holistic care to guide patients toward their greatest potential and living their life to the fullest, pain-free.

Urinary/Fecal Incontinence Whether your bladder is urgent, leaking or you are frequently running to the bathroom, the loss of bladder control is embarrassing for anyone. Whether you are recently post partum, had a recent hysterectomy or just realizing your bladder control is diminishing, CTS therapists can help. Your therapist will assess posture, strength, coordination, tissue integrity and visceral mobility. You then begin a comprehensive treatment plan which may include a home exercise program, dietary and toileting changes, release of scar tissue/muscle tension, and perhaps electrical stimulation and/or biofeedback. The goal of treatment is to reconnect your mind to your muscles and therefore regain control of bladder function.
Knee Replacement
My daughter had been a patient at CTS and she pushed me to go there even though I could have gone to Scripps Clinic (more on them later) since that was my in-network HMO P.T. place. A little history about why I needed PT... I had 2 terrible accidental falls in a very short time, one shattering my elbow, the other my femur. Having had a knee replacement 6 years earlier, and not having good quality rehab and suffering ever since for it, I knew my rehab. this time was make it or break it.

Visceral Manipulation is a manual therapy technique consisting of gentle, specifically placed manual forces that encourage normal mobility, tone and inherent tissue motion of the viscera, their connective tissue, and other areas of the body where physiologic motion has been impaired. It is characterized by high precision and minimal force, and based on the principle that for an organ to be healthy and have optimal function it must have motion.
