Traversing the beautiful Mission Bay as it moves back and forth between the docks of the Bahia Resort Hotel and the Catamaran Resort Hotel and Spa, each thirty-minute leg of the Bahia Belleā€™s journey welcomes allā€” from the leisure traveler to corporate groupsā€”to enjoy a unique social setting amidst the coastal scenes and mild climate that make San Diego famous. Designed to mimic the appearance of an 1860s-era sternwheeler, the Bahia Belle is a nostalgic opportunity to experience 19th century luxury. The 74-foot Belle is lavishly adorned with oak and brass railings, etched glass and curving, cast iron staircases reminiscent of the Deep South. The first two floors of the three-story vessel feature spacious rooms accented with rich wooden paneling, marble topped tables and lush textiles like red velvet curtains, while the Belleā€™s topside is an open air observation deck boasting panoramic views of Mission Bay Park - the nationā€™s largest aquatic park at 4,600 acres. The Bahia Belle follows a seasonally-changing sailing schedule, embarking multiple times throughout the day during the peak summer season. Families with children are welcome on board between 6:30 and 9:30 p.m., with live entertainment and music beginning mid-evening. At 9:30, the Belle transforms into a 21+ nightclub on the water complete with a full bar, dance floor, live local bands and DJā€™s spinning clear through the night until final docking at 1:30 a.m. While an exciting adventure on its own, cruising with the Bahia Belle is also a welcome component of any multi-part evening on Mission Bay. Passengers may choose to partake in a post-dinner cruise after a dining at the Bahia Resort Hotel, where guests can enjoy Mediterranean and Moroccan flair from Cafe Bahia and Tangier Bar; alternately, bay-goers can also ā€œjump shipā€ once docking at The Catamaran Resort Hotel, where they will be just steps from the surf and turf-inspired Oceana Coastal Kitchen and Morayā€™s, a bayside lounge dotted with tiki torches and tropical palm trees. The Bahia Belleā€™s sheer size and unique design renders it ideal for intimate to mid-size events, from wedding celebrations to holiday gatherings to company parties. Groups can also reserve an unforgettable evening on the Belleā€™s sister ship: the 100-foot William D. Evans, a composite of several early American steamboats of the 19th century.Traversing the beautiful Mission Bay as it moves back and forth between the docks of the Bahia Resort Hotel and the Catamaran Resort Hotel and Spa, each thirty-minute leg of the Bahia Belleā€™s journey welcomes allā€” from the leisure traveler to corporate groupsā€”to enjoy a unique social setting amidst the coastal scenes and mild climate that make San Diego famous. Overall
Nice location

Just got back from staying at this resort for 1 week.
Great location on Mission Bay. Resort is nice throughout with great pool etc. Has a nice restaurant and seperate bar too.

They have 2 seals that are in a huge pond that are part of the rescue mammel project in San Diego. They feed them twice a day.

They also have a cool big paddle boat (like the kind that use to go along the Mississippi river) that takes you on a 1 hour tour of the bay. It only runs Fri & Sat nights.

The 1 point that wasn't so good, is the room we stayed in had an old boxy tv - not flat screened which I expected for the price we paid a night, plus it being a suite. The Suite we stayed in was one of the first built years ago - and it had a bit of a musty smell.
