Designed to mimic the appearance of an 1860s-era sternwheeler, the Bahia Belle is a nostalgic opportunity to experience 19th century luxury. The 74-foot Belle is lavishly adorned with oak and brass railings, etched glass and curving, cast iron staircases reminiscent of the Deep South. The first two floors of the three-story vessel feature spacious rooms accented with rich wooden paneling, marble topped tables and lush textiles like red velvet curtains, while the Belleās topside is an open air observation deck boasting panoramic views of Mission Bay Park - the nationās largest aquatic park at 4,600 acres. Passengers may choose to partake in a post-dinner cruise after a dining at the Bahia Resort Hotel, where guests can enjoy Mediterranean and Moroccan flair from Cafe Bahia and Tangier Bar; alternately, bay-goers can also ājump shipā once docking at The Catamaran Resort Hotel, where they will be just steps from the surf and turf-inspired Oceana Coastal Kitchen and Morayās, a bayside lounge dotted with tiki torches and tropical palm trees. The Bahia Belleās sheer size and unique design renders it ideal for intimate to mid-size events, from wedding celebrations to holiday gatherings to company parties. Groups can also reserve an unforgettable evening on the Belleās sister ship: the 100-foot William D. Just got back from staying at this resort for 1 week.
Great location on Mission Bay. Resort is nice throughout with great pool etc. Has a nice restaurant and seperate bar too.
They have 2 seals that are in a huge pond that are part of the rescue mammel project in San Diego. They feed them twice a day.
They also have a cool big paddle boat (like the kind that use to go along the Mississippi river) that takes you on a 1 hour tour of the bay. It only runs Fri & Sat nights.
The 1 point that wasn't so good, is the room we stayed in had an old boxy tv - not flat screened which I expected for the price we paid a night, plus it being a suite. The Suite we stayed in was one of the first built years ago - and it had a bit of a musty smell.
