Inland Empire Optometry

I was excited to go get an eye exam here. When I called, they were polite and told me they were slow enough that I could come in without an appointment. I went in and got the exam with no problem. It was not until I wanted my prescription to buy my glasses somewhere else that they told me I could not because they needed to bill my HEALTH (not vision) insurance THEN my "secondary" vision that was in actuality my one and only primary vision plan. They released my prescription only after I called me insurance company and handed my cell phone over for the confirmation. The receptionist called to collect the money that I DID NOT owe the next day and was so RUDE to me! They, without saying the word "lying," said I was lying about having only one insurance company when I in fact have two. Um, no. It is to my benefit if I have two insurance companies, so why would I only say I have one? After three hours on the phone with multiple companies trying to confirm with each company that I do not nor have ever had another vision plan and more than two people being rude to me that I did in fact confirm that I did not owe them money. They were also rude to my insurance company over the phone. UNPROFESSIONAL! it is sad because the doctor was wonderful, but what use is a wonderful doctor with a horrible staff?
