Bridges
Dental Bonding
Composite bonding refers to the repair of decayed, damaged, or discolored teeth using material that resembles tooth enamel color. Your dentist drills out the tooth decay then applies the composite onto the tooth’s surface, and then “sculpts” it into the right shape before curing it with a high-intensity light.

Root Canal Treatment
Eeth become infected when the pulp is exposed to bacteria. The pulp is a soft tissue made up of nerves, arteries and veins located in the center of the tooth. The pulp extends from the area in the center of the tooth called the chamber, down through narrow channels called the root canals, to the tips of the roots. The two most common causes of infection in the pulp are deep cavities and broken teeth. Both expose the pulp to bacteria that live in saliva. These bacteria, which are always present in your mouth, can cause an infection that can kill the pulp.

Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery

Oral Surgery
Dr. Rebeka Andrade joined the Orsatti Dental Group team in 2016. She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, where she received awards for her outstanding achievements in oral surgery and graduated with a distinction in dental education. After dental school, she pursued a two year Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency where she received training in dental implants, periodontal procedures including bone and gum grafting, digital dentistry, and intravenous sedation. Dr. Andrade is passionate about helping patients achieve a healthy and beautiful smile.
Jaw Surgery
Treatment for the disorder would include a bite guard to wear to prevent grinding and clinching of the teeth, Botox injections to relax the muscles, replacing missing teeth, aligning crooked teeth and jaw surgery.
Tooth Extractions
Bone Grafting
This All-On-4 process does not require bone grafting at all and is true to its name, on four implants. Regular dental implants may require up to eight single implants to support dental restorations. The cost of the all-on-4 procedure is generally less because of the number of implants that have to be used, only 4 vs a potential of 8 total. Typically this treatment is recommended for patients with low bone volume who cannot have a graft because of a previous or existing health condition such as diabetes or osteoporosis.

Dr. Barrera was born and raised in Laredo, Texas and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Texas A&M University in 2017 with a degree in Biomedical Science and a minor in Neuroscience. She earned her doctorate from the UT Health San Antonio School of Dentistry. After completion of her degree, she completed a one-year residency at the prestigious UT Health San Antonio Advanced Education in General Dentistry program. During her residency, she received additional training in advanced procedures such as esthetic dentistry, digital dentistry, dental implantology, soft and hard tissue grafting, and moderate intravenous sedation.
