If there was a way i could give this place negative stars I certainly would. This guy is a total ripoff and con artist. I have never had a more unpleasant experience with a mechanic in my life. I dropped off my bike (and put down $100) to have the carbs cleaned and rebuilt. I was told that he would check it out and give me a quote on how much it would cost. After 3 weeks (3 Weeks!!!!) I was told it would cost a total of $750 to have the whole thing done and quote " Runnin' real good"... I felt at the time that the price was kind of steep but this guy seems to know what he's doing and i'll give him a shot. Besides he's already had the bike 3 weeks so he must be close to finishing.. Boy was i wrong. After putting down another $400, i was told "for parts", I'm now already into this thing for 500 bucks and becoming a bit impatient… Fast forward another week and a half (all the while I’m calling him every other day) and I finally get him on the phone and he tells me it’s going to be $1,250 to get my bike done!! Five Hundred Dollars More than what we agreed on! Anyway, after almost 2 months I had enough and paid this deceitful little man his money and got my bike back and you could hardly tell the difference. It’s still runs rough and now the idle has been set way too high… I have no idea what my hard earned money went toward… My only hope is now I can tell EVERYONE I know not to go to this place. Southeast Cycles is a complete and utter rip off and the guy running it, Gene, should be ashamed of himself.
