The WORST!!!! DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME!!!!!

Thewhole experience was horrible. They forgot to ask for our drink order, so I had to ask them to please bring us water. We received it about 10 minutes later. Then about 10 minutes after that we received our cold stale chips and watered down salsa, mind you, this was not our waiter so our order was not taken. Finally our servr comes and takes our order. We get our drinks finally, worse margaritas I've ever had!!! When we receive our food (55 minutes after we arrived!!!) it was cold and I mean cold to the touch, it wasn't even cooked all the way through. We received no apology or excuse. When I informed the waiter it was cold and we wanted our check her just looked at me and picked up the plate. Before bringing me the check for the horrible margaritas, her asked me if I wanted him to remove the charge for the food. Horrible food, horrible service, horrible drinks.

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE

The rest of the reviews on this page were pretty accurate. Wish I had read them before we went here.

Service was poor. Gave us the lunch menu when they were serving dinner so then they didn't have the food we ordered. Forgot drinks, had to ask twice for our drinks.

The food we received was bland and one of the dinners was not what we ordered at all.

Will not go back.

Loved It! Especially the Margaritas!!

Happened to stumble upon this quaint, artistic restaurant along the River Walk. Loved the margaritas and the ambiance indoors. We moved outdoors after a several drinks at the bar and had a delectable dinner along the River Walk. Staff was courteous and atmosphere was superb!

Excellent!!

My family and I ate at Paloma one evening while in town on Vacation. I have to say it was great! The margaritas were exceptional and the food was very creative and authentic. To top it all off we got to listen to Mariachis while eating our dinner right on the water. I would definitely go there again next time we are in town!

Excellent

We recently visited on a Sunday. We had originally made reservations for outside, but the weather was bad and we were moved in without a problem. The wait staff was very friendly and the food was EXCELLENT. We will definately be back!

Salsa Heaven!

I recently met up with an old friend who was in town for a convention at Paloma for lunch and really had a very pleasant experience. I work downtown but don't really venture very far from the office. The Host (Charlie) was very friendly and unassuming and we were greeted and seated in a timely manner on the outside patio with a great view of the River and people walking along it. Our server was quick to offer up the specials of the day while taking our drink orders. He promptly returned with our drinks and some warm and crunchy chips and some of the best salsa I've ever had! (Addictive) My choice for the Carne Asada was a good one. The portion was generous and it was very tender and cooked to order. Everything was really good, the enchilada, the rice, and the beans. Again, the salsa was addictive; I think we finished the portion twice! I will definitely be making a return trip to Paloma in the very near future!

Horrible

Not worthy of the price. Food was not up to standard with other restaurants on the Riverwalk. Meal was what I expect to find in a college dorm room, not something in which I receive a bill at the end. Will not return.

On a positive note, the waiter did remove one meal from our bill at his own suggestion.

Pick another restaurant!

Absolute disaster. No record of reservation. Seated us anyway, but at worst table there (5 ft. from hostess stand). Brought $25 gift certificate. We checked terms & exclusions carefully before making Valentine's reservations -- no exclusion for special occasions (several restaurants on the site DID exclude special occasions). Presented certificate before ordered. My husband's dry fajitas were unseasoned. Better fajitas at fast-food places, for 1/4 of price. My pollo poblano was same unseasoned, dry chicken, topped w/few onions & slices of poblano under greasy melted cheese. Bland rice & beans w/both meals. Tasted like straight from can black beans & minute rice w/few canned green peas. Finished horrible meals, exchanged gifts; we're ready for check. Husband goes to bathroom. Waiter comes, hands ME the bill & our gift certificate (he'd taken it w/him when we presented it before ordering) & says that they won't accept it tonight. Politely told him I intended to protest this, as I'd done my research before making reservations. There was nothing to indicate our certificate would not be accepted, & the time to have informed us that it would not be was before we'd ordered & eaten. Manager who'd been busying himself behind waiter stepped in, snatched check from waiter, held it out in front of him & said loudly, "So you are telling me that you are not going to pay this bill?" Tables cramped together; everyone turned to look. Told him I was saying I wanted him to honor the gift certificate we'd brought, nothing else. Husband returned; manager turned on his heels & walked off. We sat there, the waiter ignoring us; we had no idea what was going on. Went inside to look for the manager. Waiter then said, "He's fixing it in the computer." We returned to table; eventually were presented w/bill minus gift certificate. We were having nice time despite bad table & bad food, but conflict really ruined Valentine's dinner. Would not recommend this place to anyone.

Awful Awful Awful

This is the first time I have ever been to your restaurant it was on 9\20\08. I was very disapointed with the service, the african american man was quite rude, when we were seated we had 4 children with us all from one year to 11 years we were not ever offered a child menu. The food was good but the service was very bad when we left my husband left a generous tip only to find out when we got home we were charged as a party of 6 even though our baby never ordered anything we were charged an automatic $18.00 tip even after my husband left a nice tip. I think we were taken advantage of as tourists and treated even worse as people. I truly hope your employee enjoyed his $30.00 dollar tip, because he didn't even deserve a 5 cent tip.

Unhappy

I had a wedding reception I had arranged several months ahead of time all was great and I was very confident with the girl I originally arranged and coordinated the event with. Only weeks before my event I get stuck with this girl who knows nothing and must have forgot that my event was scheduled at 4pm and she waited to set up for it after my guest and I had already arrived. The general manager knew nothing of his duties and most the time he tried handling matters it was to shout and yell at the servers who were trying there hardest to help make matters better. The girl Danielle who was taking over this other girls position locked herself in the office and then ran out the building later she never even attempted to help. I wish I had been notified that the other girl was no longer with the company so that way I could have saved myself the embarrassment. Two of the servers left due to the general manager’s trip to be the upmost disrespectful person to be known and one hung in there but the two that had to take the servers place that had left was obvious they knew nothing of what they were doing.
